Obituary

Frederick “Wyatt” Tucker III passed away May 19, 2024 in Sugar Land, Texas.  Wyatt was born December 27, 1982 in Nacogdoches, Texas. He was the first child to Frederick Wyatt “Buddy” Tucker II and Karen Kathleen (Sessions) Tucker. Wyatt attended Nacogdoches High School and the University of Houston. He married one of his high school best friends, Ginger Hamilton. Together they went on to live in San Antonio and New Orleans, before settling in the Houston area to raise their family.

Nothing meant more to Wyatt than being a father to his two daughters Catherine and Camille, and he loved bringing them back to visit Nacogdoches, a place near and dear to his heart.

Wyatt was an avid golfer, fisherman, hunter and sports enthusiast. He could famously rattle off any statistic or obscure detail as if he was reading from the internet. Wyatt was known for his sense of humor and charismatic honesty – a soul who was larger than life and never met a stranger. Wyatt had an indescribable way with both new friends and old. His quick wit and storytelling were gifts, and he left every room lighter. The entire community mourns the loss of our friend and brother, but we are thankful to have the memories of the colorful stories he could tell.

Wyatt leaves behind his wife, Virginia “Ginger” Hamilton Tucker and daughters, Catherine Adair Tucker and Camille Louise Tucker of Sugar Land, Texas; brother, William Tucker of Houston; parents-in-law, Cheryl & Mike Benke of Sugar Land and John Hamilton of Nacogdoches; brother-in-law, Mike Hamilton & wife Kristin and their children Sarah and Hannah of Windsor, Colorado; aunts, Marion King & husband Kelly of Nacogdoches and Susan Poe & husband, Lloyd of Chesterfield, Virginia; uncles, Richard Sessions & wife Lisa of Houston and Michael Sessions & wife Robin of Tyler; along with many cousins, and lifelong friends from all over.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Frederick Wyatt “Buddy” Tucker II & Karen Kathleen (Sessions) Tucker and grandparents, William Rube & Dorothy Sessions and Fredrick Wyatt & Rubye Catherine Ratcliff Tucker.
