A funeral service will be held Saturday September 26th, 2026 at 11am at Dickie Allen Funeral Home. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the funeral also at the funeral home. Interment follow the funeral service at Blanton Cemetery.
Elroy Simon was born December 22nd, 1961 in Rusk County, Texas. Elroy was the son of Mansfield and Mable Johnson Simon. Elroy attended school in Mt. Enterprise, Texas. He was a laborer for the Spivey Stake Company in Mt. Enterprise for more than forty years.
Elroy was preceded in death by his parents Mansfield and Mable Johnson Simon, son Damian Roquemore, and brother Carl T. Simon
He leaves to cherish his memory seven brothers, Melvin Simon, Mitchell Simon, Sr. (Ordelia), Hadrick Simon, Carl R. Simon, Danny R. Simon, Lafayette Simon, Ted Simon (Leasa) and one sister Kattie Simon; sons Derrick Simon, Tydrick Roberts, and daughter Shyanne Roberts; as well as grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
