Peachie grew up in Chireno, Texas where she graduated from Chireno High School. She then went on to Massey Business College to study accounting. During her high school days, she was active in the 4-H program and played volleyball. Peachie met the love of her life, T.S. Fountain, at a local dance and the two were inseparable after that. She was an active member of the community serving on the alter society of the catholic church, manager of the Food Pantry Ministry of the Chireno Methodist Church, and a VFW officer. Peachie was famous for her coconut cake and homemade rolls that her family enjoyed immensely. She took many trips with her family which included a trip to New York City when she was 78 years old for a family graduation. Her love of Elvis took Peachie to celebrate her 83rd birthday at Graceland in Tennessee where she stayed at the Heart Break Hotel. Peachie was proud of her family and all their accomplishments. She was a survivor of breast cancer for 35 years and wore that pink ribbon of survival proudly. Peachie was deeply loved by her many nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend appreciation to the staff at Stonecreek Nursing Home and especially Lyndorie Watts, Jana Wise, Rachel Townsend, and Jaysa Bennefield for their love and care of Peachie.
