 Funeral services for Elizabeth Ann (Betty) Ellis, 85, of Douglass will be Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 12 noon in the First Baptist Church of Douglass with Rev. Randy Arnold officiating. Their will be a visitation time from 11 Am until noon on Thursday. Mrs. Ellis will be buried at the Douglass Cemetery.  Elizabeth passed away Saturday, January 6, at her home near Douglass. She was born April 28, 1938 in Houston to John William Alexander and Bobby Louise Taylor Alexander. She had lived in  Lewisville, Texas for many years and been in Douglass since 2004. Elizabeth was a member of the Douglass First Baptist Church. She and her husband had owned and operated the Lewisville Shopper for many years but her first love was her Antique business. She loved gardening and her grandchildren. Mrs. Ellis was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years James William Ellis and her parents. She is survived by daughter Lori Warren and her husband Brad of League City, and their children Benjamin Michael Warren, Joshua Keith Warren (Andrea) and their child Judah Bradley Warren, Duncan Ried Cannell, Meagan Lorraine Stauss, Kasey Elizabeth Warren and Emily Ann Manders (Spencer), daughter Sharon Rice and her husband Brady of Nacogdoches, and their children Katelyn Rice Wallace (Blake) and their child William Bryant Wallace, James Grant Rice (Jesse) and John Taylor Rice, daughter Susan Wallace of Palestine and her children Gregory Ryan Wilhite (Mary Margaret) and their children Barrett Ryan Wilhite and Beckham Michael Wilhite, Kendall Leigh Barnett (Matt) and their children Adaline Rose Barnett and William Woodrow Barnett and Matthew Jacob Wallace (fiancé Kendall Johnson). Elizabeth is also survived by sister Bobby Jean Alexander of Austin. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Memorials may be made to the Douglass Food Pantry 201 CR 782 Douglass, Texas 75943.
