Election Day – Tuesday, November 8th

Precinct 41 voters now need to go to Carpenter Elementary on Election Day. Precinct 43 voters need to continue going to New Hope Congregational Methodist Church on Election Day. Precincts 41 and 43 were previously combined at New Hope Methodist, but this will not be the case moving forward. Precinct 41 voters were mailed letters 2 weeks ago informing them of this change.

Precinct 47 now will vote at the Etoile Volunteer Fire Department on Election Day since the Etoile School is now closed. Precinct 47 voters were notified of this change.

Precinct 45 now will vote at the Martinsville Baptist Church across the street from the Martinsville School on FM 95 North. Previously, voters went to the Martinville school. Special signage will be put out at the school on Election Day to redirect these voters across the street to the new location.

Very Important – Precinct 26 voters will still go to the OLD Senior Center Building on Harris Street. They will not go to the new Senior Center location on West Austin St. (which is not in Precinct 26). I do not know if the Harris St. location will be used for future elections, but it is still being used for this Nov. 8th, 2022 General Election. If the building on Harris St. is given a new name in the future, it may continue to be used for voting, but as more people become familiar with the newer Senior Center location on W. Austin St. over the coming years, it may be better for the County to find a new location for Pct. 26 so that voters are not confused. For this current election, I felt it was best to keep using the Harris St. building that Precinct 26 voters are accustomed to since it was used for the 2022 Primaries and all of the major elections in 2020 and 2018.

If the Daily Sentinel would be kind enough to print the Election Day polling places in the Sunday paper like you normally do before Election Day, it would be appreciated very much as always. Please see the updated chart of voters attached below.
