Dr. William L. Sheehan
William L. Sheehan, M.D. of Mount Enterprise, Texas, was born on March 9, 1930, in Collinsville, Oklahoma and passed away in his home November 1, 2025, at the age of 95. He was the son of Sam and Pearl Opal (Pope) Sheehan.
Bill graduated from Sapulpa High School in Sapulpa, OK; Oklahoma State University (1950-1952) with a B.S. in Zoology; and Baylor University College of Medicine for his M.D. (1956-1960). He received and held his medical licensure from 1960 to current with the State of Texas , and held a certification as Diplomate with The American Board of Urology (1970). Dr. Sheehan was a practicing Urologist for 37 years in Houston, and was a member of the Harris County Medical Society, Texas Medical Society, The American Association of Physicians and Surgeons, Texas Urological Society, and the American Urological Society. He held the following offices: President, Texas Urological Society (1995-96); Chief of Surgery, Memorial Southeast (1968-70; 1988-90); Chief of Staff, Memorial Southeast (1977-78); Chief of Staff, Memorial System (1980); Member at Large, Executive Board, Harris County Medical Society (1973-77); Founding Member, Board of Trustees, Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center; Delegate to the Texas Medical Association (1973-80). Bill also was a Board-Certified Naval Officer (Lieutenant), Explosive Ordinance Disposal Unit, and the United States Naval Reserve.
Bill’s hobbies and personal interests included Wood Working, Gardening, Hunting, Sailing, Scuba Diving, Skiing, and most of all his Grandchildren.
Dr. Sheehan is survived by his wife, Becka Sheehan; son, William Luther Sheehan II; daughter, Suzanne Dillmann and husband, Henry; step-son, Stephen Allen and wife, Jennifer; grandchildren, William Christopher Sheehan, Nicholas James Sheehan, Juliet Guerrero and husband Micah, Elisabeth Grace Brown and husband, Cade, Isabella Allen, and Caleb Allen; great-granddaughter, Isla Ruth Guerrero; step-granddaughter, Michelle Clynch; step-great-granddaughter, Anasty Guthrie; sister, Sallie Taylor and brother, Pat Sheehan and wife Aimee, and nieces and nephews.
Bill is predeceased by his parents, Sam Sheehan, Pearl Opal Pope Sheehan; first wife Ella Eager Sheehan; sister, Betty Krebs; brother, Sam Sheehan and wife Wanda; son, Michael Sherman Sheehan; and grandson, Michael Sean Sheehan.
Graveside Services will be held for Dr. Sheehan on Monday, November 10th, at 11:00 A.M. in South Park Pearland Cemetery, Pearland, Texas. Military Honors will be presented.
