Clinton John Passerotti, age 52, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2025, after a prolonged illness. Born August 15, 1972, Clint was a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend whose warmth, humor, and generous spirit touched the lives of many.
Clint was preceded in death by his parents, John and Fran Passerotti, whose love and guidance shaped the man he became. He is survived by his devoted wife, Laura, and cherished daughter, Emma, who were the center of his world. Clint also leaves behind his loving siblings: Gini (Michael) Blackwell of Nacogdoches, TX; Lori (Roger) Coffee of Hurricane, WV; Michael (Sharon) Passerotti of Maineville, OH; Susi (George) Stone of Sevierville, TN; Kathleen Leahy of Charlotte, NC; and Liz (Roger) Holbert of Hendersonville, NC. He will also be deeply missed by many nieces and nephews, extended family, and countless friends who loved him dearly.
Clint dedicated his professional life to the river, working as a tow boat Captain on the Mississippi. He took pride in his work, guiding barges that carried essential goods and products across the country. His time on the water reflected his calm strength, steady leadership, and deep connection to the natural world.
Off the river, Clint had many passions. He was an exceptional cook who loved experimenting with new recipes and sharing meals with family and friends. He found joy in video games, baseball, books, and board games—often bringing people together around a table or a screen to share in the fun.
Clint’s legacy is one of quiet strength, deep love, and unshakable loyalty. His laughter, kindness, and storytelling will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Clint’s memory to the Ronald McDonald House of Burlington, Vermont.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
