I hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving. It’s time again to consider applying for one of the city’s boards or commissions. The city is currently accepting applications for the following:
· Airport Advisory Board
· Building Standards Commission
· Health Code Advisory Committee
· Industrial Development Authority Board
· Main Street Advisory Board
· Nacogdoches Cemetery Board
Applications will be accepted until 5 p.m. on December 13, 2024 and the city council will appoint members in January 2025.

I would like to take this time to especially thank Bonita Hall, the Director of Human Resources, for her talents and tireless efforts for the city. She has made an enormous difference in both the processes and outcomes for the full range of human resources. She is retiring in a month and will be sorely missed.
