Cheryl “Cherry” M. Kiser, 83, went home on September 27th, 2026, at Joseph House in Lufkin, Texas. She was born on November 1st, 1942, in Gooding, Idaho, to Verna Franc and Robert Gaston.
Cherry is survived by her daughters, Dr. Christina Wilson and Cindy Kiser; her son-in-law, Lt. Col. (ret) Allen Wilson; her granddaughters, Emma Wilson and Madalyn Wilson; her brother, Greg Gaston, and his wife, Karen; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Kiser; her parents, Verna Franc and Robert Gaston; and her brother, Bruce Gaston.
Cherry was a devoted mother who supported her children in all their endeavors, particularly in music, art, education, and athletics. Affectionately known as “Grammy” in her later years, she will be remembered for her wit, oatmeal cookies, spaghetti sauce, and her enduring devotion to her daughter, Cindy.
The family extends its gratitude to all those who cared for and supported Cherry during her final days.
