Charles Pool Real Estate is proud to announce Liz Cardenas as the newest member of Nacogdoches’ largest team of licensed brokers.
Liz has been in real estate, working primarily with first-time homebuyers, since late 2019. Liz and her husband, Javier, recently relocated from San Antonio to Nacogdoches.
“I joined CPRE because of the reputation as a long-standing company in Nacogdoches,” she said. “When I met people and told them I am a real estate agent interviewing brokerages, CPRE was always the company everyone would mention. I knew then I did not have to look any further. I met the team and felt very welcome.”
Liz is a graduate of San Diego State University with a major in psychology. She was born on the Southern California border and raised between California and Northern Baja in the small town of Tecate, home of the world-famous beer. Spanish is her first language, and she is fluent in English.
“Liz has already made a huge impact on our team, and we’re looking forward to so much more from her,” Ed Pool, CPRE president, said. “She’s got an amazing breadth of experience. She’s accustomed to larger cities, but she’s really adapting to and enjoying small-town life. And we’re excited to have a fluent Spanish speaker who can help us better serve our growing community.”
Liz looks forward to working with the community and giving back. She has worked in school systems for various early childhood education programs and is a former Child Protection caseworker and interpreter in medical, educational, and criminal/legal cases. She is currently taking a course to become a Court Appointed Special Advocate of Deep East Texas (CASA-DET) for children going through foster and/or kinship care. She also joined Conexion Hispana with the Nacogdoches Independent School District.
Liz and her husband spend their weekends going to estate sales and searching for antiques. They love living in Nacogdoches and plan to stay here for years to come. They enjoy the slow pace of living in a small town and do not miss the hustle and bustle of the bigger cities where they have lived.
