Funeral services for Carl “Sonkey” Dews, of Garrison, will be held at 3:00pm on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at Laird Funeral Home officiated by Bro. Shak Arrington followed by a private family graveside service. Visitation services will be held prior to the service from 1:00 to 3:00pm on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at Laird Funeral Home. Sonkey passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2025, in Garrison, Texas. He was born on February 13, 1936, in Garrison, Texas to the late Carlos and Mildred (Scogin) Dews.
