Obituary
Bonnie Lindsey Tubbe, age 80, of Nacogdoches, Texas passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2024. Bonnie was born in Nacogdoches, Texas on October 31, 1943. She grew up in the Harmony Community and was a 1963 graduate of Nacogdoches High School. For many years she kept children in her home and was later a daycare center teacher. She was married to Charles Tubbe for 31 years and they enjoyed fishing, laughing a lot, taking vacation trips, and singing gospel music while traveling. She once caught a 6 lb bass at “The Tram.” That’s not bad for standing on the bank. Her favorite gospel song was “How Great Thou Art”, which she sang right up until the end. Or to be more accurate, right up until the time she entered the loving arms of the savior she sang about with such adoration.
Miss Bonnie, as many kids called her, was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Ila Adams; husband, Charles Tubbe; sisters, Mittie Waggoner and Retha Tubbe; and brothers, Harold Coy Adams, and Ray Adams, Jr.
She is survived by brother, Emory “Mac” Adams; children, Olan “Bubba” Lindsey and wife Malinda, Darrell Lindsey, and Dana Gaut and husband Todd all of Nacogdoches. She is also survived by her grandchildren, John Lindsey and wife Cassady, Garret Lindsey and wife Chelsea and Seth Lindsey; great-grandchildren, Olan Wayne Lindsey, Flint Lindsey, Memphis Grace Lindsey and Journie Faith Lindsey.
The family will receive friends, Friday, October 25, 2024, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM with a funeral service beginning at 2:00 PM, Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
Services are under the direction of Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors.
