June 8, 1945 – June 30, 2025
Billy Lynn Huddleston Sr, age 80, of Nacogdoches, TX, passed away on June 30, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on June 8, 1945, in Houston, TX, Billy was a proud resident of Nacogdoches County and a beloved member of the community. He was best known as the owner and heart behind Butcher Boys Smokehouse, where he spent decades serving up more than just good food — he served love, laughter, and memories to everyone who walked through the door. He fed not only stomachs but also souls, and his kindness and generosity left a lasting mark on this town.
When he wasn’t at the restaurant, you could find him with a fishing rod in hand, enjoying the peace of the water and the thrill of the catch. He was happiest outdoors and even more so when he had his family and beloved dogs by his side.
Above all else, Billy was a family man. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Catherine, whom he loved fiercely and faithfully throughout their 60 years of marriage. His children, grandchildren & great grandchildren were his pride and joy, and he never missed a chance to brag about them or show up to support them.
He is survived by wife Catherine Ann (Cannaliato) Huddleston; son, Billy Lynn Huddleston, Jr. and wife Kristie; daughter Lori Blankenship; grandchildren, Macy (Cory) Smith, Caleb (Amanda) Blankenship, Call Blankenship, Anna Huddleston, Billy Huddleston III (Trey), and Kiran Tutt, as well as five precious great-grandchildren: Layla, Laura, Carson, Logan, and Mia Kate.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Burnis & Ada Bell Huddleston and brother, Burnie Forest Huddleston.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 2508 Appleby Sand Rd., Nacogdoches, TX. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 2, 2025, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. with Rosary to follow at Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Home. All are welcome to attend and share stories, memories, and love in honor of a man who gave so much of himself to so many.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Food Pantry or simply encourage everyone to enjoy a good meal with someone they love — just the way Billy would’ve wanted.
He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.
Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
