Obituary
Funeral Services for Angela Sanchez, 70, of Nacogdoches, will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at Iglesia Bautista Cristiana with Dr. Joseph Barbosa and Rev. Jesus Colegio officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00pm on Monday, February 12, 2024 at Laird Funeral Home.
Mrs. Sanchez passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 in Longview. She was born on July 5, 1953 in Sensuntepeque, El Salvador.
Angela was born on July 5, 1953, in Sensuntepeque, El Salvador. She spent most of her life there and when she was able to get to the United States to join her family, she did just that. In 2008, she made her way to Nacogdoches as was overjoyed at the blessing of being able to meet her grandchildren.
Angela was a sister, mother and grandmother and her family was her greatest joy. She enjoyed traveling all over the great state of Texas and occasionally to other places to visit family. She was a great cook and a trusted seamstress. She often spent her time making articles of clothing, blankets or repairing something for family members. Angela recently was blessed to have celebrated her 70th birthday, surrounded by her family and those she loved the most.
Angela led a simple Christian life, dedicating herself to Jesus and spreading the love of Christ to her family and friends. She was a member of Iglesia Bautista Cristiana where she truly enjoyed her women’s group.
Angela is survived by her son, Wilfredo Sanchez; daughters, Xenia Carolina Sanchez, Jesus Dalila Sanchez and Maria Guadalupe Sanchez; brothers, Margarito Sanchez and Pablo Sanchez; 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Victor Fuentes and Angela Sanchez and 11 siblings.
Angela nació el 5 de julio del año 1953 en Sensuntepeque, El Salvador. Pasó la mayor parte de su vida allí y cuando pudo llegar a los Estados Unidos para poder unirse con su familia, hizo eso mismo. En el año 2008, agarró camino a Nacogdoches dónde estaba muy contenta con la bendición de poder conocer a sus nietos.
Angela era hermana, madre y abuela, con su familia siendo su mayor alegría. Le gustaba viajar por el estado de Texas y ocasionalmente a otros lugares para visitar a su familia. Era una buena cocinera y una costurera de confianza. Ella pasaba su tiempo haciendo artículos de ropa, mantas o reparando algo para los miembros de la familia. Recientemente, Angela fue bendecida por haber celebrado su cumpleaños de 70 años, conviviendo con su familia y de aquellos demás que amaba.
Angela llevó una vida Cristiana, dedicándose a alabar a Jesús y esparciendo el amor de Cristo a su familia y amigos. Fue miembro de la Iglesia Bautista Cristiana, donde disfrutó de su grupo femenil.
A Angela le sobrevive su hijo, Wilfredo Sánchez; hijas, Xenia Carolina Sánchez, Jesús Dalila Sánchez y María Guadalupe Sánchez; hermanos, Margarito Sánchez y Pablo Sánchez; 12 nietos y 2 bisnietos.
Está precedida en la muerte por sus padres, Víctor Fuentes y Angela Sánchez, y 11 hermanos. “
