At approximately 4 pm on Monday afternoon, the Nacogdoches 911 center began receiving calls about gunshots in the area of Eastwood Terrace off Woden Road.
Officers responded to the area and were directed by residents to the rear of the complex to the area where the gunshots were heard.
There, officers found one deceased male in the wooded area.
Jermiah Jarmma Warren 19, of Nacogdoches was identified as the deceased. NPD investigators and officers are continuing to follow up on leads.
