LUFKIN, TX (October 21, 2026) – Brookshire Brothers will open the doors to its newest Lufkin location at 6 a.m. Wednesday, November 11, bringing an enhanced grocery shopping experience, expanded services and a premier outdoor entertainment venue to the community the company has proudly called home for more than a century.
Located at 2110 S. First St., the 70,000-square-foot store combines the quality products and friendly customer service generations of East Texans have come to expect from Brookshire Brothers while also introducing new offerings and convenient services designed to serve customers in more ways than ever before.

Expanded Specialty Departments and Fresh Offerings
The new store offers an elevated shopping experience while also incorporating many of Brookshire Brothers’ signature departments and services, including an in-store pharmacy with a drive-thru, a full-service bakery, an expanded hot deli, a fresh meat market, fresh food options throughout the store and a floral department.
Brookshire Brothers Brews brings together specialty coffee and beverages alongside a tap beer and wine bar. Its drive-thru coffee shop serves hot, blended and iced specialty drinks, cold brew, energizer drinks, craft lemonade, specialty sodas and ice cream floats. Inside, customers can enjoy a 16-tap draft bar featuring rotating craft beers, purchase kegs from the dedicated keg room and take advantage of happy hour drink specials Monday through Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m.
The 3,200-square-foot beer and wine department features a sampling bar, a dedicated craft section with rotating selections and an on-site wine steward who can help customers discover new favorites and find the perfect pairings for meals and special occasions.
The fresh meat market continues Brookshire Brothers’ tradition of providing custom-cut meats while introducing additional specialty offerings. Customers can shop dry-aged ribeyes and strip steaks for a bolder, richer flavor, along with beef jerky smoked in-house, seasoned and marinated meats, and a fresh seafood service counter. Chef-ready options, including stuffed jalapeños, pinwheels and bacon-wrapped chicken thighs, provide convenient meal solutions without sacrificing flavor.
Building on Brookshire Brothers’ existing fresh-cut fruit program, which offers fresh fruit in convenient, ready-to-go containers, the new location will also introduce a fresh-squeezed juice program. Customers can further personalize their shopping experience with an in-store nut grinder that allows them to make their own peanut butter.
Convenient, Customer-Focused Services
The state-of-the-art pharmacy is designed to make managing prescriptions and accessing pharmacy services easier and more convenient. Customers can expect fast, friendly service, low wait times and easy access to knowledgeable pharmacy experts.
Additional services include free blood pressure machines, a variety of immunizations with no appointment necessary, and free local prescription delivery, including service to the Hudson area. The drive-thru pharmacy offers another convenient option for customers who want to take care of their prescriptions without leaving their vehicles.
Customers can also take advantage of Brookshire Brothers Anywhere, the company’s grocery delivery and curbside pickup service, making it easier than ever to shop on their schedules.
Pineywoods Pavilion Brings a New Entertainment Destination to Lufkin
Brookshire Brothers is thrilled to introduce the Pineywoods Pavilion, a premier outdoor event venue designed to bring families, friends and neighbors together for entertainment and community gatherings throughout the year.
With capacity for up to 1,000 people, the venue features a 20-foot television screen, playground, dance floor and premium sound system. The Pavilion will host a variety of events, including outdoor movie nights, live music and other family-friendly entertainment, creating a new destination for the community to gather, celebrate and make lasting memories.

While the store will officially open to customers at 6 a.m. Wednesday, November 11, everyone is invited to celebrate the new location during a grand opening celebration on Wednesday, December 9. The celebration will include an official ribbon-cutting ceremony in partnership with the Lufkin/Angelina County Chamber of Commerce, along with free samples, giveaways and special appearances.
The celebration continues Saturday, December 12, with a Family Fun Day at the Pineywoods Pavilion from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Families can enjoy face painting, pictures with Santa, a caricature artist, additional giveaways, free samples and more. The event will offer a fun opportunity for Lufkin residents to explore the new outdoor venue and celebrate the newest addition to the Brookshire Brothers family.
