On August 19th, 2026, a disciplinary panel of the Texas Medical Board temporarily suspended, without notice, the Texas medical license of Pranav B. Shukla, M.D. (Lic. No. N9129), after determining his continuation in the practice of medicine poses a continuing threat to public welfare. The suspension was effective immediately.
The Board panel found that Dr. Shukla was arrested in Fort Bend County on July 2, 2026, for the offense of Fraud—Delivers a Prescription or Prescription Form (Texas Health and Safety Code 481.129(c)(1)), a Felony of the Second Degree. It was alleged that Respondent prescribed a dangerous drug or controlled substance for an illegitimate medical purpose.
A temporary suspension hearing with notice will be held as soon as practicable with 10 days’ notice to Dr. Shukla unless the hearing is specifically waived by Dr. Shukla.
The temporary suspension remains in place until the Board takes further action.
