Dear Friends,
I have a few news items for you. First, several people have called me and told me how sad they are that I will not be running next year for City Council representing the Northeast Ward. That information is incorrect. I have every intention of running once again to represent you. I’m not sure how those rumors started but I want to dispel them right away. If you have any questions or concerns about this, please feel free to call me.
I will be holding a ward meeting/community meeting along with Michelle Cox and neighbors for people interested in the intersection of Appleby Sand and the north loop on October 8th, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at Northwood Baptist Church, 3224 NE Stallings Drive. It will be an opportunity for collaborative listening and planning with city staff and officials, public safety and representatives from TxDot.
There are multiple drainage projects already underway in many parts of the city, including Colonial Hills and Summer Hill Circle. I am most grateful to the city and particularly the engineering staff for their diligence and hard work.
The Raguet Street Sewer Replacement Project is scheduled to begin Monday, October 12th, 2026. While it will be very inconvenient for many of you, particularly those living near Lakewood and Burrows, it is essential to replace the existing sanitary sewer lines.
Finally, National Night Out is Tuesday, October 6th, 2026. It is one of my favorite events, and I hope to see you then!
