The Nacogdoches Public Library welcomes Danielle Sells, representative of Deep East Texas Council of Governments. Sells will explain what Medicare is, who is eligible, and will discuss the various plans of Medicare in anticipation of the upcoming 2027 Medicare Open Enrollment period which will run from October 15th to December 7th, 2026. “It can be intimidating to choose a Medicare plan, so we are happy that Ms. Sells will guide us through the various options. Even persons who are years away from being eligible for Medicare can benefit from the information, especially if they might become responsible for helping a loved one with their healthcare needs. It’s important to become familiar with the coverage under the various Medicare plans before the need arises,” said Mercedes Franks, library manager.
