Soccer vs. Jackson State University – SFA Soccer Field – SFA’s soccer team will compete against Jackson State University.
September 15th, 2026 – 7:30 p.m.
‘Canciones Traspuestas: Traditional and Contemporary Songs of Chile’– Wright Music Building, Music Recital Hall – Hannah Snavely, assistant professor of music, and Chilean guest artist, Isabel Mekis, will present a recital of traditional and recently composed music for voice and transposed guitar.
September 18th, 2026 – 8:30 a.m.
Fruit Research Field Day – Brundrett Conservation Education Building – Dr. David Creech, SFA Gardens director, and Dr. Tim Hartmann, assistant professor and extension specialist with Texas A&M University’s Department of Horticultural Sciences, will give presentations. Participants also will tour the blueberry research plot, greenhouse and nursery facilities, and fruit research plots.

SFA Symphony Orchestra Concert – Griffith Fine Arts Building, Turner Auditorium – The SFA Symphony Orchestra will present an evening of orchestral music featuring student musicians from SFA’s School of Music.

The Fabulous Thunderbirds – Griffith Fine Arts Building, Turner AuditoriumThe Fabulous Thunderbirds will kick off the University Series with “A Tribute to Chicago Blues.”

Family Day – A series of events will be hosted for SFA’s Family Day, including Parents’ Night Out and the annual Family Day 5K.

Football vs. Northeastern State University – Homer Bryce Stadium – SFA’s football team will compete against Northeastern State University.
