AUGUST 29TH, 1960 – SEPTEMBER 3RD, 2026
In the Care of Laird Funeral Home
Our beloved Ricky passed away on September 3rd, 2026. He was a man of boundless energy and intelligence. Life dealt Ricky a heavy and complicated hand at times and his journey was marked by profound challenges but nothing he did not conquer and overcome. While these hardships cast long shadows over his life and shaped the road he walked, they did not entirely define Ricky as a person. Beneath the pain and the heavy weather of his life he had moments of tenderness and compassion and was a hard-working man. He would give a stranger the shirt off his back and his family his last dollar in his pocket. Rick found a thrill in climbing towers for a living and boy was he good at it! The simple things in life like a cup of Folgers black coffee and a cigarette is all it took to make him happy. He found joy in spending time with his family and fishing. All the nieces and nephews loved their Rick. Little sis Lila always made sure big bro was okay and he adored her. He always joked with his daughter Tessa Rai that if he won the lottery they would be set for life, but she now believes he hit the lottery by being in the arms of Jesus Christ in heaven and reunited with his mother Mary Wright, whom he missed and loved so much.
Ricky is preceded in death by his parents, Mary Wright and Leslie Dude Williams and brother David Williams.
Ricky is survived by his sisters Lila and Sheila; brother Junior and his daughter Tessa Rai, along with many other family members.
