Jose was known for being a hardworking and dedicated man. He was the proudest father of his two sons Eduardo and Joseph. He passed to eternal life at the age of 49 in Nacogdoches, Texas at the place he called home “El Rancho de Woden” surrounded by close family and friends. He was born in Soledad Graciano Sanchez, San Luis Potosi, Mexico on September 24, 1976, to Raul Ramirez Huerta and Heriberta Juarez Monsivais. His love for becoming a heavy machine operator began at a very early age of 8 years old. Although he was young of age he looked up to the men who showed him first how to maintain the machinery and worked his way up to learning to operate the heavy machinery. At the age of 16 in 1992 he came to the United States and began his life here in Nacogdoches, Texas.
He met Eva Virginia Villalobos in 1996 who became his wife of 14 years. Even though they divorced Eva played an important role throughout his life not only for their love for their boys but in all the ups and downs Jose always trusted her and knew Eva would always be there no matter the circumstances. He was always and will always be someone very special to Eva and her family. Jose was very excited when he became a father to both Eduardo Antonio Ramirez and Joseph Anthony. His boys meant the world to him. He did not only make memories while they were growing up but also made memories of showing them his line of work and working along with them for Drewery Construction. Though he loved working, hanging out with friends, and fishing. Jose’s favorite role was that as a grandparent. He treasured his time with Lorenzo and loved being his “Papa”, never failing to bring his baby snacks or toys every time he knew he was going to see his grandbaby. Jose had a soft spot for his furry friends, treating everyone like the valuable family members they were. He had a few throughout his life, but his last pet Haley was very special to him. Jose and his friends were practically inseparable throughout their lives. From just hanging out to outdoor cooking, they were together through it all. Jose was always surrounded by friends. Jose was passionate about his role as Heavy Machine Operator at Drewery Construction. Working for the company for almost 15 years. This company was important for him because it was not only his way of living and providing but they became his family. He was loyal and an honest, hardworking employee to them and he knew how much they loved him. Everyone who knew Jose knew how much he loved hanging out with his friends outside cooking and sipping on some cold beers. Jose will always be remembered for his kind heart and the way that he would always help in any way he could. We’ll always imagine hearing them say “Me Paso a Retirar” one more time. We couldn’t have asked for a better Son, Parent, Grandfather, Sibling, Uncle, Friend and Employee, and will miss Jose every day. His memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved him.
Jose was preceded in death by his dad Raul Ramirez Huerta and sister Ofelia Ramirez, and is survived by his mom Heriberta Ramirez, sons Eduardo and Joseph Ramirez, grandson Lorenzo Ramirez, his siblings Maria Ramirez, Arnulfo Ramirez, Celia Ramirez, Maximina Ramirez, Felix Ramirez, Yolanda Ramirez, Maria Guadalupe Ramirez and many nieces and nephews.

Jose Ramirez was always the best brother to me; he was always hardworking from an early age. He always wanted us to be ok. He always helped me through my good and bad times, and I am very grateful to all the support he gave me. I will miss him very much. Sending him a hug and kiss all the way to heaven. Rest In Peace.
My uncle always had people around him, every Sunday my mom would wake up to go visit him and he would always be outside with his friends, his pets and always with a smile. He was always cooking something and even in his final moments he remained the same with all of us together enjoying each other company. He enjoyed cooking carne asada outside even in the super-hot Texas heat he didn’t care, he enjoyed being with us and we will miss that a lot. We love you Uncle and we send you hugs and kisses.
