Piney Woods Service Association to Host First Annual Turkey Shoot Benefiting Veterans on October 10th, 2026

MT. ENTERPRISE, TX — The Piney Woods Service Association (PWSA), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to honoring, supporting, and benefiting those who have served in the United States Armed Forces, will host its 1st Annual PWSA Turkey Shoot on Saturday, October 10, 2026, beginning at 9:00 a.m. – READ MORE BELOW POSTER

The event will be held at 11300 CR 3143, Mt. Enterprise, TX 75681. Signs will be posted directing attendees to the event location.

The Turkey Shoot is being held to raise funds for PWSA’s ongoing mission of supporting veterans and veteran-related projects and needs. PWSA is a 100% volunteer organization, allowing the organization to focus its efforts and resources on its mission of serving those who have served our country.

The inaugural event will feature a variety of marksmanship competitions, raffles, door prizes, food, and family-friendly activities, giving the community an opportunity to enjoy a day together while supporting local veterans.

Marksmanship competitions will include BB guns, .22 caliber, .223/5.56mm, 6.5 Creedmoor, .308, and 9mm, along with a black powder cannon exhibition. Participants will have the opportunity to compete for turkeys and hams.

Additional raffle opportunities will include chances to shoot a .50 caliber, 10mm, and full-auto AR, as well as a chance to win a 6.5 Creedmoor.

The event is open to the general public, and PWSA invites area residents, veterans, families, and shooting enthusiasts to come out, enjoy the day, and help support a meaningful cause.

Safety and event rules will be strictly enforced. Eye protection is required, and attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs. No alcohol is permitted. Loaded firearms should not be brought onto the event grounds. Ammunition will be available for purchase, and the event will be cash only.
