Gwendolyn Dale McFate of Douglass, Texas passed on June 12, 2026, at the age of 71. She was born on August 15, 1954 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to parents Ira Bright and Evelyn (Bird) Bright.
Mrs. McFate was a graduate from Nederland High School. She spent her career serving her community as a registered nurse. She enjoyed sewing and knitting.
Dale was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Donald “Don” McFate; sister, Linda Iris Pistole; and nieces, Audrey Stone and Sara Stone.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 26, 2026, at Alazan Cemetery.
