Funeral service for Ruby Lee Grant, 75, of Nacogdoches will be held at 11:00am on Friday, June 19, 2026 at New Life Christian Fellowship Church with Pastor Dale Morton officiating.  Interment will follow at Bethel Cemetery.  A visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 10:00am at New Life Christian Fellowship Church.

Mrs. Grant passed away on Friday, June 12, 2026.  She was born on July 2, 1950, in Nacogdoches to I.D. Grant and Ressie (Heflin) Grant.

Ruby graduated from Nacogdoches High School on May 28, 1968. She dedicated her life to hard work and service to her community. She was employed by Cason Monk Hardware in Nacogdoches for 25 years, from 1974 until 1999. On September 7, 1999, she began working for Bright Coop, where she remained a valued employee for the next 26 years.

Ruby loved the Lord and cherished her family, friends, and church family. She was a faithful and devoted member of New Life Christian Fellowship in Nacogdoches. Known for her servant’s heart, she found joy in helping others and living her faith through acts of kindness. Her unselfish generosity, warm spirit, and genuine compassion touched countless lives. Ruby leaves behind a legacy of love and friendship and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, I.D. and Ressie (Heflin) Grant; her brothers, Lonzo Jewel Grant, George Hazel Grant, and Willie D. “Bill” Grant; and her sister, Ressie Annette (Grant) Williams.

She is survived by her loving nieces, Angela (Williams) Richardson of Nacogdoches and Rebecca (Williams) Drury and husband Howard of West Jordan, Utah; her great-nephew, Patrick Bethea Jr. and wife, Shelby, of Plano, Texas; and her great-niece, Lacie Bethea and fiancé, Adam Taylor, of Hempstead, Texas. Ruby is also survived by her dearest friends of many years, Wanda and Clem Russell of Nacogdoches and Frankie and Mona Hamby of Nacogdoches, whose friendship and love were a treasured part of her life.
