Death Investigation

At 8:50 a.m., officers were dispatched to a residence on Old Tyler Road for a sick‑call report. Upon arrival, they found the individual deceased. The case remains under investigation.

Hit‑and‑Run Reports

Two hit‑and‑run incidents were documented:

  • 1:52 p.m. — 1030 N. University Drive: A complainant reported their parked vehicle was struck by an unknown driver who left without providing information. The case was classified as Duty on Striking Unattended Vehicle, a Class B misdemeanor.
  • 6:12 p.m. — 1600 N. University Drive: Officers determined a vehicle struck another and left the scene without required information. The investigation is ongoing.

Assault Arrests

Officers responded to multiple disturbance calls, including two assault cases:

  • 9:25 p.m. — 1013 Douglass Road: Police investigated a family disturbance where one individual pushed another. Officers believed further violence was likely if the parties were not separated. The aggressor was arrested for Assault by Contact, Family Violence.
  • 12:16 a.m. — 300 block of Old Tyler Road: Officers found an individual who had been assaulted by an unknown suspect. A report for Assault Causing Bodily Injury, a Class A misdemeanor, was filed.

Intoxication‑Related Arrests

Three arrests were made for intoxication offenses:
