 Funeral services for Harold Tracie Parker, 92, of Alto are scheduled for 2 PM Friday, January 2nd at the First Baptist Church in Alto with Rev. David Hobson officiating. Burial will follow at the Lynches Chapel Cemetery near Alto. Harold passed away Tuesday, December 30 in Jacksonville. Harold was born July 4, 1933 in Alto, Texas to Dan Morgan Parker and Fannie Mae Gibbins Parker. He lived all his life in Alto and was a U.S. Army veteran. Harold was a member of the Weches Baptist Church and had also been a member of the First Baptist Church in Alto for many years where he had served as a Deacon. Harold had worked for the U.S. Postal Service for many years and was the Postmaster in Cushing  for several years. He had owned and operated the Gulf Gas & Service Station in Alto for a few years. Harold had a lot near downtown Alto where he traded and sold farm equipment, boats, trailers and anything else he could sell. He loved fishing and hunting. Harold was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years Birda Dixon Parker, son Tracie Brian Parker and brother Buck Parker. He is survived by son Scott Antony Parker of Alto, grandchildren Michael Parker, Haley Vineyard, Corey Davis, Coleman Davis, Holly Taylor and Hope Dotson as well as numerous great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Michael Parker, Corey Davis, Coleman Davis, Ty Hendrick, Brad Hamilton and Jed Morris. Honorary pallbearers are John Paul Dixon and Larry Davis. Visitation will be Thursday, January 1st at the funeral home in Alto from 6-8 PM.
