Funeral services for Willie Fay Ward, 86, of Nacogdoches will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday, December 8, 2025 at Eastside United Pentecostal Church with Rev. Ennis Fuller officiating. Interment will follow at Cove Springs Cemetery in Melrose. Visitation will be held from 12:00 to 1:00pm prior to service.

Willie Fay Ward passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2025 in Nacogdoches.

She and a twin brother, Billy Ray was born on May 10, 1939 to Vera Mae Vail and Marvin Ballow. She graduated from Woden High School in 1958 and retired from Presidential Ins. In Houston. In 1970 she married her husband Pete Ward and moved to Alazan, Tx. where she worked at Stephen F. Austin University for several years. Later she and her husband operated a poultry breeding farm for Tyson for over 27 years. She was a member of Eastside United Pentecostal Church.

She is survived by her nieces, Ruthie Tienda of Porter and her family and Delight and her family; stepdaughters, LaJean Ward Worley and her family and Margaret Ward and her son Bobby.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Pete Ward; her parents, twin brother, Billy Ray, brother Howard Ballow, sister, Ruthie Plagens, nieces Nanette and Glenda Tienda, nephew, Howard Ray Ballow, and stepson, Billy Ward.
