Fire Department Crews and our Forestry Service are on scene attempting to contain a fire near the area of County Roads 144 and 143, off of Highway 259 in the 16000 block. Deputies have been conducting evacuations in this area on County 144 and County Road 143.
Just received an update that fire crews have stopped the forward progression of the fire. However if you live anywhere near this area, out of precaution, you should be ready to evacuate if this situation changes.
