New look for Blue Washer Board Tournament

Plus other competitions at blueberry festival

NACOGDOCHES, TX, May 21, 2025) – Thanks to Tony and Annette Diggs, owners of Blue Thumb Pool Care, the long-running Blue Washer Board Tournament will have a visually appealing update. The Diggs have built 20 washer boards, and contestants will enjoy the blue theme that links the pool care business to the blueberry festival.

“It is very hard not to want to be involved in such an amazing festival that brings our community together,” Tony said. “For Blue Thumb to host the Blue Washer Tournament is a perfect fit to give back to the community.”

The tournament has been an attraction for washer pitching enthusiasts for years and sponsored by Badders Law Firm. The Diggs are proud to take the event to a new level for the 35th Annual Texas Blueberry Festival presented by Tipton Ford.

“We are enjoying working with the other festival leadership and the Nacogdoches County Chamber, which has been instrumental in building our business in East Texas,” Annette said.
