Seven Ladyjacks compete at the Team USA Trials

Las Vegas, NV – Seven Ladyjacks are competing at the 2024 USBC Team USA Trials and U.S. Amateur this week at the Gold Coast Bowling Center in Las Vegas, Nev.

Practice begins on Tuesday, Jan. 2, and there will be five rounds of qualifying over the following five days. The women’s rounds will be contested at 5:00 PM CT each day from Wednesday through Sunday, and the top three amateurs will advance to stepladder finals at 10:00 PM Central on Sunday. The announcement of 2024 Team USA is expected to be around 11:00 PM Central on Jan. 8.

According to bowl.com, the National Selection Committee can select female athletes based on submitted resumes from Team USA and/or Junior Team USA members within the last 10 years, players in the top 25 on the points list from the Professional Women’s Bowling Association Tour and from the Team USA Trials/U.S. Amateur Championships. Team USA coaching staff has the authority to add members to the team at their discretion.

The top four men and top four women finishers in the 2023 USBC Team USA Trials/U.S. Amateur Championship, based on ranking points, earned automatic spots on Team USA 2023 while two additional men and two additional women were selected by the National Selection Committee from the pool of players who competed at the 2023 Team USA Trials/U.S. Amateur Championships. The National Amateur champions also earned spots. In a situation where the champion already has earned a spot, that spot is awarded to the next highest qualifier based on ranking points.

Earlier this summer, Brystal Beyer qualified for Junior Team USA based on results at the Junior Gold Championships. She qualified after finishing in 4th after 26 games in the U20 2023 Junior Golds.

The 2024 Team USA Trials will be streamed live on BowlTV, and results will be available throughout the week on bowl.com.

SFA will reunite with their full roster next week to continue their NCAA season in Las Vegas at the Stormin’ Blue and White Vegas Classic starting on Jan. 8th – Jan. 10th.
