The Lumberjack soccer season is drawing near fast. Just weeks away from the annual Purple Vs. White game, SFA soccer has entered the last stages of preparation.
This year’s schedule features multiple non-conference Power Five matchups that will get the Lumberjacks ready for conference play. SFA will travel to Oklahoma State, the University of Texas, and TCU. The Lumberjacks will also face some tough competition at home, facing off against Rice, the University of Houston, Louisiana-Lafayette, SMU, and UTSA.
Junior midfielder Reaganne Crane was named as a WAC Breakout Candidate, earlier this month. Crane is among one of many strong returners.
Head Coach Tony Minatta is very excited to get the season kicked off, “We are very excited to get going with this group! Strong returning core, some dynamic freshmen, and a challenging schedule. Going to set the tone day one!” Minatta said.
The Lumberjacks finished the 2022 season with a 6-11-1 record (5-6 WAC).
