Ward Meeting Wednesday

I will be holding a ward meeting Wednesday, September 27th at Liberty Hall at 5:30 p.m. to bring you up to date and answer questions, including questions about housing, staffing, and other issues of concern.

The Bond Election

At the ward meeting I will provide handouts of the proposed propositions for the bond elections, along with a question/answer sheet provided by the city addressing some of the questions that have been voiced. City staff will be available to answer specific questions, and you may voice your own questions or concerns.

City Manager

The City Manager, Rick Beverlin, is scheduled to begin November 2, 2023. He is very excited to come to our wonderful city, now his wonderful city, and brings with him quite a bit of experience in city management, economic development, transportation and highway development, problem solving and a love for smaller historic communities. I will be happy to answer questions about the selection process for the city manager, along with his qualifications.

LIHTC’s

The Northeast Ward will most certainly be the most attractive site for the Low Income Housing Tax Credits for 2023, and I will be answering questions and listening to your concerns, along with updating you on discussions with Texas Interfaith Group.

Staffing, Vexus, etc.

I’ll bring you up to date on city staffing, the Vexus issues and the new ordinance passed last week, and any other concerns you may have.

I wish you all good things and look forward to seeing you Wednesday.

Blessings!

Kathleen
