Nacogdoches High School’s new football district is almost identical to the previous alignment. The Dragons are grouped in District 7-5A (Division II) with Hallsville, Jacksonville, Marshall, Mount Pleasant, Texas High and Whitehouse, the same as the previous two school years with the exception of Jacksonville replacing Pine Tree, which was realigned into Class 4A.

The Texas University Interscholastic League released new district alignments Thursday morning for football, basketball and volleyball for the 2024-25 and 2025-26 school years. The new alignments go into effect in the next school year that begins in August.

It’s in basketball and volleyball alignments that NHS will see changes. The Dragons will be joined in District 10-5A by Hallsville, Jacksonville, Lufkin, Marshall, Mount Pleasant, Texas High, Tyler High (formerly John Tyler) and Whitehouse. The previous two seasons have seen Nacogdoches and Lufkin aligned with schools near Houston for UIL sports other than football.
